ANNOUNCEMENT: We are THRILLED to share the exciting news that Riverside Oral Surgery is now expanding into Morris County! Our new office is located at 33 Main Street, in beautiful Chatham, NJ – this location was home to the practice of Richard Riva, DDS for over three and half decades. Dr. Riva is a pillar in the community and a highly respected practitioner; we are grateful that he has chosen Riverside Oral Surgery to further his legacy.
While Dr. Riva will continue to practice at 33 Main Street in Chatham, we eagerly anticipate the opening of a newly renovated, state-of-the-art, full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery office at this location. More details to come! We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Shawn M Lynn, DDS, will be working alongside Dr. Riva at this location, in addition to his current location in Livingston. As you know, Dr. Lynn is an integral part of the Riverside team - an outstanding clinician who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our group, everyday.

Dr. Brown is also very committed to education, as she currently serves as faculty to the residents at NYU Langone AEGD program. I would absolutely recommend Riverside Oral Surgery to anyone in need of oral surgery care. My 11 year old daughter was treated by Dr. Lyn for third molar extractions this past Friday and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience there. From the time we arrived to the time we left was at highest quality. Front desk staff etiquette was so impressive and warm. It’s not often you get the opportunity to experience that in some offices these days. Dr. Lyn’s assistant was also very sociable and sweet. It was more than obvious how clean and well kept the rooms were. As for Dr. Lyn, he truly is a very down to earth and incredibly smart doctor. He walked in with such confidence and was great with the way he interacted with my daughter. Never once making us feel rushed. His skills with her IV placement was the smoothest I’ve seen ever. My daughter didn’t even flinch. One poke and bingo. The whole procedure was completed within an hour. Her post discomfort was so minimal. I honestly expected it to me more uncomfortable for her than it turned out to be. To top it off, she received a hand written letter by Dr. Lyn wishing her well 3 days later. Excellent excellent excellent!!!
