About

RiverWoods Behavioral Health System is an 85-bed, Joint Commission Gold Seal Accredited treatment center offering a full spectrum of treatment options to address chemical dependency and behavioral health disorders. We are adjacent to the Southern Regional Medical Center campus in Riverdale, Georgia, convenient to Interstate 75, allowing for easy access throughout the state.

RiverWoods Behavioral Health System serves adolescent, adult, and older adult populations. Our multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and technicians are able to tailor and implement treatment plans based on the individual needs of our patients. We realize that treatment and recovery is an ongoing process that is taken in steps and that keeping patients engaged in treatment will offer them the greatest chance of success. Equipped with this knowledge, we have developed a treatment program which employs several levels of care based on individual patient needs. The various levels of treatment include inpatient psychiatric and detoxification services, partial hospitalization programming (PHP), intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and aftercare groups.

During the holidays, you were focused on giving, but as you start the new year, it's a wonderful time to self-reflect. Take a moment and repeat positive affirmations that remind you that you are just as worthy of compassion and love as everyone else.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s sacrifices for the movement for American civil rights had a lasting impact that can still be felt today. Dr. King recognized that nonviolence was a powerful tool in the fight for racial equality for Black individuals in America. Today, we remember Dr. King's legacy and his vision for a nation where all are granted the same freedoms.
