We are proud to announce the plans to construct a new building located in the interior courtyard of the Prep School Campus.
Already dubbed The Cube, due to its shape, this building will house four additional classrooms made of glass and concrete. The courtyard will be converted to a 15,000 square foot landscaped plaza with pavers, to better accommodate our students and their activities.
We expect The Cube to be completed in the fall of 2021, with the majority of the construction requiring the most intensive work to be completed at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.

Senior Anna McKernon Grigson has much to celebrate as she reached new heights in her sport. Anna and her team, the Lady Jags Top Gun Allstars, are the American National champions. As the national competition winners they get to compete in the World Championship. A long way from her home in New Zealand, Anna has followed her dream, while staying focused on her academics. Gabriel Freund ‘25 is a Bulldog with a mission. As part of his Bar Mitzvah tradition of working on a project to make the world a better place, he has focused on providing prescription glasses for people who can’t afford them. With generous donations from friends and family, and his personal investment, Gabriel has surpassed his original goal of 500 collecting 1,400 eyeglasses so far. It was a great day for Riviera Prep Varsity Tennis! The Riviera Prep girls and boys varsity teams both won a key district match at Palmer Trinity School. The girls remain undefeated as the top 5 swept the singles. 7th grade sensation Sasha Kilgour battled Palmer’s top senior in a hard fought pro set and prevailed 8-6. Sophomore Milli Lardiez went up 6-4 then battled to edge out the feisty # 2 Palmer player for the 9-7 win.
Congratulations to Leyla Kilgour, Sophia Armenta and Annabella Fernandez for taking care of their oppenents in a routine manner.
The boys took the show today as they won their first district match 4-3.
Key singles wins from 8th grade Santiago Lardiez, Jack Kelly, and Noah Jonez led the way to a #2 doubles win from senior captain Josu Gaubeka and junior Jack Kelly to clinch the match.

Congratulations to Danielle Hernandez ‘28, who received an invitation to compete in the US Kid’s Golf World Championship 2021 in Pinehurst, NC. Dani has been playing golf since she was 5 years old, and has competed in over 100 tournaments. She has won over 50 tournaments and has been invited to five World Championships. A Riviera student since preschool, this proud Bulldog is looking forward to beginning middle school in
2020-2021, and to continue to play with the Riviera Golf team. We wish Dani the best of luck at the World Championship this summer!
