Nestled in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania's southern Chester County, on the banks of the Muddy Run Creek, stands an old mill built in the early 1800's. Though the sluice and wheel have gone, the spirit of the 19th century master-craftsman lives on. For over 75 years Robert Treate Hogg Cabinetmaker Shop has been creating extraordinary handmade wood products reflecting traditional to modern styles from all over the world. It is here that the subtleties of the cabriole leg and the Comb-Back Windsor chair are still practiced with loving care. Here, too, many of the reproductions for Independence Hall, Congress Hall, and the New Castle Courthouse were made. Little wonder that the furniture and handmade wood products from the Hogg shop are considered prized possessions.
