Rochon Corporation of Iowa a locally owned, fast growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent. The successful candidate will be responsible for with our project team to successfully deliver construction projects on time, under budget, safely, and with high quality results
Duties:
Coordinate and manage on site operations for projects of varying size from $200,000 to $30,000,000
Perform safety planning for jobsite. Identify and coordinate elimination of any potential safety hazards.
Implement quality control, including full compliance with plans, specifications and contract agreements.
Process RFI's.
Review project shop drawings and submittals.
Maintain project budgets
Communicate and coordinate effectively with architects, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers
Create and manage project schedules, including material procurement
Review, comprehend and interpret plans and specifications
Process proposal requests and change orders
Facilitate project meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors
Qualifications:
2-5 years experience in commercial construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to problem solve with solid judgment, independent thinking.
Experience in Microsoft office software, including MS Project.
Proficient with computers, tablets and smart phones, including typing skills.
Willingness work necessary hours to ensure all project needs are being met

🚨 New project alert! 🚨 Rochon is excited to partner with @p_mapparel on the construction of a brand new office for them. Their new office will be located in Polk City and is expected to be up and running by 2021! Stay tuned for future updates on this project.
Take a look at one of our newest projects, Colfax-Mingo High School Athletic Improvements. This job is expected to be completed by July of 2022 and should serve as a great addition to the students in the district. We are so happy to get started on this project.
