A graduate of the United States Military Academy and former infantry officer, Lewis D. Baker, CFP® focuses on developing customized retirement income solutions for retirees, and assists his clients aged 50 and older in not just saving for retirement, but by helping to reach their all their financial and retirement lifestyle goals.
Mr. Baker began his career in the financial services industry in 1994 when he joined Merrill Lynch. Early on in his career he earned several awards including Merrill Lynch’s Fast Start Award, Merrill Lynch Winner’s Circle Award, and the Merrill Lynch Masters Award. After a five year stay at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Baker joined Morgan Stanley where he became a vice president.
Along the way he has taken the opportunity to passionately serve his community as a member of several organizations focused on the needs of mentoring the development of underprivileged youth in the Washington DC metropolitan area. These organizations include Project North Star, Concerned Black Men, and the Joy of Sports foundation. He has also given back to his community and his alma mater serving as an outreach officer for West Point, and he is currently a member of Congress Woman Eleanor Holmes-Norton’s service academy selection board.
Today his community service efforts are centered on leading the board of the Ready Golf Academy (RGA), RGA (www.readygolfacademy.org) is a community based organization that uses life lessons from the game of golf such as character development, self-discipline, and work ethic; to shape, motivate, and inspire underprivileged youth to reach their highest potential.
