Richard Jaconette, MD, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist at Rock River Family Psychiatric Center. With more than 30 years of experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, Dr. Jaconette offers his expertise to individuals and families in Rockford, Illinois, using the most current, evidence-based techniques to provide outstanding psychiatric care.
Dr. Jaconette provides evaluation and treatment for a broad range of conditions. With a focus on the family, he addresses attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, autism, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other mental health concerns with exceptional psychiatric and medication management services.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Jaconette completed his general psychiatry residency as well as a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Tripler Army Medical Center in Tripler, Hawaii. He continued to serve as a psychiatrist in the United States Army for 13 years.
An accomplished clinician, Dr. Jaconette has provided psychiatric care to the people in the Rock River area in a variety of settings. Before entering solo practice at Rock River Family Psychiatric Center, Dr. Jaconette provided care to families in the Rockford community at Rosecrance Health System, Rock River Residential Treatment Center, as well as Rockford Health System.
Dr. Jaconette is dual board-certified in general (adult) psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
