This position is for a variety of shifts: 7:00a-3:00p, 3:00p-11:00p, and 11:00p-7:00a. Scheduling flexibility is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, friendly, courteous and professional guest service.
- Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Check-in and check-out of hotel guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Register guests in property management system, secure payment, and issue room keys.
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with the established procedures.
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints and guest requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Set up breakfast and clean lobby area
- Data entry, document scanning, and preparing reports.
- Read and document all events and incidents in the communication log book.
- Ensure the proper appearance of the lobby and all public areas, including the breakfast area.
- Ensure processes are followed to protect the identity, safety and security of the guests and fellow employees.
- Frequent property walks to ensure cleanliness and quiet atmosphere.
- Sweeping and cleaning outside areas as needed.
- Be proficient on the use of all front office equipment such as the computer, key card machine, calculator, printer, fax, and telephone system.
- Be willing and able to work any shift.
- Have complete knowledge of rates plans, room types and their location on the property.
- Fully understand the franchise policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
- Process cancellations and modifications to reservations.
- Laundry and folding.
- Provide information about local area.
- Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers and all other associates.
- Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
