Dr. Rod Scott is a pediatric neurologist at The University of Vermont Medical Center and professor of Neurological Sciences at the UVM College of Medicine in Burlington, VT. He is a clinician scientist who applies his research findings to his clinical practice providing patients the most up-to-date approaches.
Dr. Scott’s interests lie in maximizing the quality of life for children, and families of children, with neurological diseases. He integrates tests, medications, treatments and education into a cohesive management plan to encourage collaboration with the families he works with.
His research interests include the mechanisms of learning impairments associated with epilepsy, the develop of therapeutic strategies for epilepsy and the impact of long epileptic seizures on brain structure and function.
