A big thank you to the folks at Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI). Through its Be Safe Plus program, launched during COVID-19, FSRI recently delivered 36 boxes to
the St. Joseph Health Center on the campus of RWMC. Packages consisted of fresh foods, shelf-stable foods, masks, personal care, and cleaning items and were distributed to seniors and people with disabilities seen at the health center.
The Roger Williams Sleep Disorders Center has been awarded re-accreditation for a period of 5 years by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Achieving AASM accreditation demonstrates a sleep medicine provider’s commitment to high quality, patient-centered care through adherence to these standards. The RWMC Sleep Center has been continuously accredited since 2009.

The Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Emergency Treatment Unit at Roger Williams Medical Center’s Emergency Department is Rhode Island’s only fully private site for treatment of drug, alcohol, and psychiatric emergencies. The new 9-bed unit is the second and final phase of the $15 million expansion and renovation of the Roger Williams Emergency Department.
