Rolling Hills Dentistry - Reopening Protocols**
First and foremost, we sincerely miss all of our patients! We hope you and your family are in good health and positive spirits. We know it has been a whirlwind for us all. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we are all looking forward to safely resuming life. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority at Rolling Hills Dentistry and you have seen this during your past visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we have always followed as well as new safety protocols we have in place to keep our patients and team safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and our team. We may look like we are traveling to Mars but believe us when we say; we are still smiling and our bubbly selves under the masks, shields, head coverings, gloves and gowns.
• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. Please remember to wear your mask into the office and during check out. We will be checking temperatures upon entering the office.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. We will continue to regularly sanitize doorknobs, countertops and other surfaces with hospital grade disinfectant.
• You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, beverages, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are multi-touch surfaces and difficult to sanitize. We will also have protective barriers between our front office team and patients at check in and check out. Please continue to practice social distancing.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. We ask that no one accompanies you to appointments unless you are a minor and/or need assistance getting into the office.
• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
• Each operatory is now equipped with a medical grade air filtration system that turns the air over every 15 minutes. Our clinical team will be wearing multiple masks/shields and additional PPE to protect themselves and to protect you.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office or send us an email.
As always, thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends. Plus we can’t wait to share our quarantine stories, new cocktail recipes, Zoom meeting recaps, and of course homeschooling mishaps!
Sincerely,
The Team at Rolling Hills Dentistry
