John S. Rollins, M.D. is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and received his Medical Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He also completed his orthopedic residency at UCLA and its affiliated hospitals, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Rollins received specialized training in a sports medicine fellowship at UCLA. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, is appointed as a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) by the State of California, Industrial Medical Council, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Rollins has been an orthopedic surgeon in San Jose since 1984. He specializes in treating upper and lower extremities, including hips, knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists and ankles. He uses the latest technology in surgical procedures, in both hospital and surgical center settings. Patients also often comment that his shots "really hit the spot." He does not perform back or neck surgery.
