Horses in the Palma Sola Causeway are being discussed again ☹️

In your words address why horses shouldn't be banned from the causeway.
1. Horses are not riding in seagrass.
Public Works Director Jim McLellan used satellite imagery of Palma Sola to show that seagrass has shown steady growth in the bay since 2004.
2. The horses bring tourist from all over the world to come ride and swim with the horses. This brings tourist dollars right to our area.
3. There are several dog beaches why stop this little section of water that allows horses?
4. We should focus on the big fish that are causing water quality, raw sewage spilled in the bay, houses along the bay with faulty septic tanks leaching into the bay is definitely worse than a handful of horses.
5. Don't take our rights away by banning horses on palma sola causeway.

It's almost time for our year end awards ceremony. We have emailed invitations to all recipients of Equistar Horse Shows 2019/20. Due to the risks associated with Covid we are only inviting the award winners and their families as we are having our ceremony and dinner in an outdoor pavilion with plenty of room for safe social distancing. We miss all of you at our shows and hope to resume our show series again soon. Here are the names of the equestrians who have won an award in one or more divisions. If your name is on the list and you did not receive your emailed invitation please contact us asap as we need a headcount for the meal we are providing. Thank you!
