We’re excited to announce that we will be continuing to reopen with other healthcare providers as part of Phase One to reopen Onondaga County. In order to open safely, we will be meeting and exceeding the requirements set forth by the CDC, the Board of Optometry, County Executive and the Governor. Below are a few changes you will see and some that you may not see that we have made to keep our staff and patients safe. Please be patient as we work to ensure everyone is seen as quickly and safely as possible. Our hours for the week and any other information for our office will be posted here and also on our voicemail. Changes directly affecting patients: 1. Patients will be required to supply their own mask and wear it at all times while in the office. Masks can be provided. 2. Patients cannot have another person accompany them during their visit unless they are a parent of a minor or care giver. 3. New patients should print paperwork and fill out prior to arriving. It can be found on the side of the page for new patients and existing patients. 4. When you arrive, you must call our office to check-in. We will give you further instructions for entering and moving through the office at that time and will ask you to wait in your car until we are ready for you. 5. Please strictly adhere to 6-foot social distancing in our office. Please use available soap and water and hand sanitizer to clean your hands. While we have had to change how things operate in our office, we are confident that we can provide a safe environment for you to receive your eye care. If you'd like to learn more about a few of the other modifications we've made in our office, read more below. 1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being used in our office. Staff are required to masks on at all times and also have access to gloves, protective eyewear, and face shields. 2. Appointment times have been spaced out to minimize the number of patients in our office. 3. All pickups, adjustments, and repairs will occur with appointments only. 4. Only one person is allowed in the optical at one time. 5. Frames are disinfected after being touched or tried on. 6. Strict disinfecting protocols continue to be enforced. Staff has received additional training sessions on proper disinfecting protocols. 7. Plexiglass breath shields has been installed in the Doctors exam room. 8. We have eliminated our waiting area and ask that all waiting be done in the patient’s car. 9. Paperwork will be filled out prior to arrival so that patients are not unnecessarily in the office or it will be confirmed verbally. 10. Walk-in shoppers will not be permitted. They will be scheduled to come in at a later time. Thank you for your continued support of small locally owned businesses like ours. We are confident the changes we have made will keep our patients and staff safe.

RE: COVID-19 OUTBREAK March 20, 2020 Per the CDC and the New York State Department of Health, all routine eye care be deferred until April 6, 2020 in order to slow the transmission of COVID-19 throughout our community. This is a tentative date which may change at the direction of New York Health officials. We will remain available to triage eye emergencies. Urgent care and Emergency care is still allowed to be seen. It is important to not go to the Emergency room if possible. To not only decrease the logistical stress to the facility, but to minimize your risk of infection. During this period of social distancing and quarantine, we must all do our part by restricting activities outside the home except for getting medical care. • Routine Eye Exams: If you are scheduled for a routine eye examination appointment for the remainder of March and early April, we will reschedule your appointment. As of March 20, 2020, we will begin rescheduling routine eye examination appointments for April 6 and later. • What about an eye emergency? What can I do? If you have an ocular emergency, we are, as always, available to help you at any time. Text or Call (315)396-2356 and wait for instructions at the end of the message. • I need to replace my glasses. What do I do? Please contact us at rothvision@gmail.com with your name, date of birth, and your concern. • I’m nearly out of contact lenses. What do I do? Please contact us via email at rothvision@gmail.com. We will instruct you on how to place an order that can be shipped directly to your house. Contact lens prescriptions may be able to be extended during this time. • I need a refill on the medication prescribed to me by the practice. What do I do? Please contact us at rothvision@gmail.com. We can transmit a refill for your prescription directly to your pharmacy so that you have the medication that you need. Dr. Roth will do his best to accommodate you in the office whenever possible. If not, we will direct you to the nearest eye emergency facility. We have asked our staff to stay home until further notice to protect them, our patients, our community, our nation, and our planet. Despite the financial and emotional hardships this will cause, we ask every one of you to do the same. Please be patient with us, as it may take more than the usual amount of time to respond to your inquiries. Together we will weather this storm.
Remember you only get two eyes, be sure to get them checked!
