Last week our three kids had nine practices and eight games amongst their five different teams! This all in addition to their weekly educational responsibilities.
Is this normal? For us it is…and we love it! During the quarantine our family had time to reflect on what’s important to us in life and what we can do without. The consensus was family, friends, community and sports were essential and here we are navigating a strange environment and doing our best to give our kids the closest sense of normalcy we can. Yes that means we are unpaid UBER drivers for our children but my wife and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I couldn’t be more proud of the effort put in by each of our children and I couldn’t be more proud of the patience, love and patience (no that’s not a typo…this word needs to be said twice) of my wife for homeschooling our kiddos these last six months and carrying the load of much of the logistics mentioned above.

I’ve recently taken some time to review my professional website. I hadn’t updated it in quite some time so I sat with my team and brainstormed ways to make it more relevant. I encourage you all to take a look and let me know what you think: https://advisor.morganstanley.com/ryan.waselewsky

Each year we take a moment to remember those who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks. Some people were affected directly, losing family, friends and colleagues. We were all affected one way or another by these events. We will never forget those who lost their lives on this tragic day and should all be a little extra patriotic to honor heroic first responders who gave their lives to save so many others, and civilians who unfairly lost their lives. #PatriotsDay #NeverForget #USA
It has been a crazy few months quarantining, especially for kids. Something they were not ready for and something they will probably never fully understood. As of recent, things have slowly begun to move back to normal for them. My son, Kal, has recently started up baseball and he and I couldn’t be happier (look at that smile after receiving his 2nd place medal). While the league is making necessary social distancing adjustments for the safety of the players and families, it is so great to see Kal out there with his friends playing the sport they love. I am so proud of him. #ProudFather #Baseball #WorkHardPlayHard

For the last few years our family has hosted an annual Haunted Halloween Trail Scare. A ton of work is put in decorating over 6 acres of trails so that our friends, family and our kids classmates can each enjoy the spirit of Halloween. This event is a production as it requires months of prep time, a good amount of volunteers, and a ton of help from close friends. Sadly this year, due to COVID-19, we will be cancelling this event. We just feel that the risk outweighs the reward.
Hopefully next year at this time we have a new reality and are able to pick up where we left off. From our family to yours, we wish you a safe and enjoyable Halloween and look forward to seeing many of you next year at Into The Waz Woods 2.0.
