Dr. Rylan Johnson was born and raised in the Black Hills. After completing his residency in foot and ankle surgery from North Colorado Medical Center in 2006, he moved back to the area and began working for Monument Health. Dr. Johnson is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Reconstructive Foot Surgery as well as Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Johnson has served as President of the South Dakota Podiatric Medical Association. He has a special interest in diabetic limb salvage, flatfoot reconstruction and Lapiplasty bunion correction. He was the first doctor in the state of South Dakota to perform the Lapiplasty technique for bunion correction. When Dr. Johnson is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys hiking and mountain biking the beautiful Black Hills.
