Effective the week of July 6, 2020, SAE Institute Nashville will open to allow students limited access to the facility in support of their online learning. Additionally, selected classes will have some lab hours on campus. There will be no more than six students scheduled at one time in a classroom. Students will be able to use the facilities beyond class hours as long as there are no more than 10 at the same time, however, the facilities are to be used only to complete classroom work. All other courses will be taught remotely and the campus will be staffed by a limited number of employees. Students and employees are required to wear facial covering and gloves at all times while on the premise. Social distancing must be practice by staff and students at all times. The campus will be open Monday through Friday, 9am – 7pm.

Meet Lisa Kacos! Lisa is an Audio Instructor at SAE Institute Nashville. Lisa is a music theorist and multi-instrumentalist from Grand Rapids, MI and is currently residing in Nashville, TN. She received a Master of Music Theory with a pedagogy emphasis from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Composition and Music Theory, also from MSU. Upon finishing graduate school, Lisa taught music theory, ear-training, and trumpet at Grand Rapids Community College for six years before relocating to Nashville.
Lisa currently teaches music theory at SAE Institute and teaches trumpet, drum kit, ukulele, and piano lessons with Mobile Music Academy. She teaches a variety of workshops and classes centered around Logic Pro X, songwriting/production, and music theory. She often appears as a guest teacher with Thinking Outside the Blocks, an educational songwriting community founded and run by singer/songwriters Allie Moss and Bess Rogers. She has also taught workshops and volunteered with the non-profit YEAH! (Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities).
Lisa writes and plays drums with her pop/rock band Outer Vibe, and has played trumpet with a variety of artists including Violet LaVelle, Samuel Herb, Mount Worcester, and Amy Ray of The Indigo Girls.

Currently, he is an Audio Instructor at SAE Institute Nashville, a Freelance Audio Engineer (Live Sound, Post, A/V, & Tech Installations), and a Graduate Teaching Assistant pursuing an MFA degree in Recording Arts & Technologies at Middle Tennessee State University. Additionally, Jason is an AVID Certified Instructor for Pro Tools, and an Associate Member of the Audio Engineering Society.
