I did this activity this week and it filled everyone’s hearts who sees it. To see children celebrate their uniqueness, talents, and specialness is such a beautiful thing.
This is a simple way to build community and self-esteem in students. We read a book called “The Best Part of Me” as a model text and brainstormed the best parts of us to get ideas. I had many students pick eyes! It’s interesting to see what students love and appreciate about themselves! ❤️

This week our kiddos listened to a story called “All Are Welcome” where they learned about diversity and inclusivity. The students are encouraged to be who they are, and celebrate their differences. The students also did “Indian Stick Dance” to appreciate all cultures.

Who said the pandemic will stop us from celebrating Halloween. The students enjoyed the Halloween event by passing out goodie bags filled with sweet treats for their friends.
For Diwali celebration, our students dressed up in their festive attire, painted clay pots, and danced to fun music.
In honor of Veterans’ Day, our kiddos wrote thank you letters to Guoxin Li who served in Navy at Corpus Christie. Via zoom call, the students also got the opportunity to meet him and learn what he did in Navy.
