Established in 2007, the Sahara Medical Institute has a twofold mission — to provide the latest skincare and body treatments to help our clients look and feel their best, and to provide the highest quality pediatric care for our younger patients in the Las Vegas area.
Sahara Medical Institute is led by Dr. Francisco Peraza, M.D., C.A.C., who has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Dr. Peraza earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Havana in Cuba, where he also became a First-Degree Pediatric Specialist. He followed that up at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he became a Pediatric Specialist. Dr. Peraza has also earned the following aesthetic care certifications:
- Certificate of Credit Advanced Dermal Filler Techniques
- Certificate of Completion Aesthetic Consultant Level II
- Certificate of Completion Obagi Systems
- Certificate of Attendance Aesthetic Medicine
Dr. Marisol Crespo, M.D., C.A.C., also serves our patients in Las Vegas. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Havana and has over 20 years experience in the medical field and three years working in aesthetic medicine. She is also a First-Degree Pediatric Specialist.
Dr. Peraza and Dr. Crespo are assisted by Michelle R. Velasquez, a certified pediatric nurse practitioner for 13 years. She holds a Master of Nursing from UNLV, and has been awarded the March of Dimes “Pediatric Nurse of the Year” for Southern Nevada in 2006. She is also certified in basic life support training and PALS.
