Today is #NationalWomenPhysiciansDay and we're honoring Dr. Nadine Pappas, who has been a breast surgeon for more than two decades. She practices at Saint Michael's and has an office in Belleville.
Before you head out to shovel snow today, remember that there's a heightened risk of suffering a heart attack. Shoveling snow puts a tremendous amount of stress on the heart, especially for those who are not physically fit and older than 55. Pay attention to how you feel. If you have chest pain, trouble breathing or pain that radiates from the neck down the arm, stop and seek medical attention. Our Emergency Department is open 24-hours a day. Stay safe, but if you need us, we're here for you.
