The Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce is spreading the word about a BBQ fundraiser that's raising money for care packages for quarantined nursing home residents. The firm is glad to spread the word about this opportunity as part of our commitment to our rural communities in the 11th SC Judicial Circuit, which is comprised of Lexington, McCormick, Saluda, and Edgefield counties.

Laney was chosen by Aiken Electric Cooperative for their Youth Summit in Columbia this year. The in person summit was cancelled due to COVID. She has been participating in zoom meetings and joining other teens across the state in projects. As an individual project she has to complete a community service project. She has chosen to make care baskets for the local nursing home residents and the swing bed patients at ECH who aren’t able to have visitors at this time. Laney, with the help of Mac Westbrook, is hosting a BBQ fundraiser on August 1 at Ole Edgefield Butcher Shop. Please support her and enable her to provide goodies for the residents.
In honor of Dr. King, today is a holiday for the staff of Saluda Law, LLC.
