Juvederm Voluma is now FDA cleared for chin enhancement. Dr. De Maio did a fabulous webinar with a live patient. You can see improvement in her structure from cheek area/jawline/chin and even some filler in the lips. But, guess how many syringes this took? It took 13 syringes, with the majority being Juvederm Voluma. Beautiful results can be achieved, however, 3-4 syringes will not be generate these type of results. It is best to go in steps where every month, you fill until your particular result is achieved. Yes, 2-3 syringes can give a visual result, but it is important to note that it will be subtle, depending on the patients loss of volume. This particular patient is 40 years old, and we begin to see volume loss as early as mid 30’s. Tightening the neck from the inside and out.
Plasma fibroblasting creates little tiny areas on the surface of the skin which look like tiny, brown transient dots. The areas are desiccated skin which help to tighten the underlying dermis. They typically flake off between3-7 days. The skin then goes through a remodeling process which helps to improve the lines and wrinkles. Topical numbing and nitronox are used to minimize discomfort during the treatment. #plasmapen, #subnovii
Younger patients commonly request a little filler to the lips and a little Botox to help minimize the development of lines. This is called “prejuvenation”. This is immediately post a little filler to the lips and chin (1 syringe of Juvederm Ultra). #prejuvenation, #lipfiller
Fractional Co2 laser, aka “Coolpeel”, can be delivered at lower and higher settings. This is a photo showing each day of healing with higher settings. By day 5, 90% of the swelling is gone. #coolpeel
This is one week post plasma fibroblast with Subnovii. The brown dots fall off anywhere between 3-5 days and if you enlarge the photo, you will see small red dots which are present for an additional 1-2 weeks. I am not going to lie, it hurts, so we numb for 1 hour and use Nitronox to help minimize the discomfort. Can filler companies place a little more in each syringe?
Immediately post 2 syringes (one Radiesse, one Juvederm Ultra). Remember, each syringe adds to the restructuring of the face, but often, multiple syringes are needed to get the lifted and filled look. I love fillers, however the hardest part is to show that while one syringe can enhance an area, more is often needed, depending on what type of result is desired. 1 ml is equal to 20 % of a teaspoon which is a small quantity when trying to fill a midface. #radiesse,

What are my 2 favorite fillers for the lips? Hands down, Hyaluronic Acid Fillers such as Juvederm Ultra, Restylane Kysse and even Revanesse Versa.
