Dr. Kretzschmar was born and raised in Texas. In 1977 he graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch. He spent the next 26+ years in the United States Air Force Dental Corps with assignments in Arizona, Texas and Florida and overseas assignments in Korea, Germany and England. In 1981, he attended a 2 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. His Air Force career consisted of clinical, educational and command assignments; he always enjoyed the clinical responsibilities best. He associated for two years in Palm Bay prior to opening the Melbourne office in March 2001.
Dr. Kretzschmar is licensed in Florida and Texas. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Brevard County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. He is Board Certified by the American Board of General Dentistry and the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry and a Master at the Academy of General Dentistry. He spent over 26 years in the Air Force and retired as a Colonel in 1999.
Dr. Kretzschmar and his wife Nancy reside in Melbourne, Florida. They have two married daughters and two grandchildren.
