Dr. Sam Slomowitz is a hematologist and medical oncologist who practices in Westlake Village. His practice specializations include breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers, and both benign and malignant blood disorders. He is triple board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine, and is also an assistant professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Slomowitz was born and raised in Westlake Village. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, after which he conducted immunology research at UCLA, before receiving his medical degree from the St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. He then completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Utah and the affiliated Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Before joining UCLA Health, Dr. Slomowitz was an active member of the Los Robles and Simi Valley medical staff, serving on the breast cancer program leadership and cancer committees.
Dr. Slomowitz is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a local veterinarian, his two sons and his dogs. He also likes hiking, traveling and fishing.
