Motivation is important at San Antonio Taekwondo. One way to keep students focused is to award them with different colored ribbons that get placed on their belts.
Each color designates different achievements earned not only within the dojo but also at home.
⭐️ Pink , for instance is when the student helps at home, listens to their parents, clean their rooms or eats their vegetables.
At San Antonio Expert Taekwondo, students are taught to break training boards. This builds confidence and strength as they move up to more difficult boards which are labeled by color .
This method of offering kids a color code system to board difficulty gives them a goal.
Lesson: Always reach for a new goal, even after your first goal is achieved.
Confidence is the fist step to conquering your fears. Students learn to break boards to understand that mind over matter is a way of life.
At San Antonio Expert Taekwondo, balance is not just technique, it's a way of life.
Proper technique is the key to perfecting the art of Taekwondo. Master Kang and his staff make sure their students stay focused and learn through proper guidance and direction.
At San Antonio Expert Taekwondo, Master Kang and staff teach the children respect and proper ways on how to ask questions so that they can apply to these values to everyday life.
Instilling RESPECT...one student at a time.
There are various explanations and/or techniques when it comes to the tradition of bowing. At San Antonio Expert Taekwondo the meaning has a more humbling meaning and experience.
1. When entering the Dojang, one must bow to give respect to the Dojang, Sabumin (Master) and staff.
2. Looking at the instructor or staff while bowing shows mistrust, so ensure to lower eyes.
3. Bow at 45 degrees from your waist slowly
4. Never bow while you are moving
5. Stand at attention when bowing
When bowing, the person who bows to the Sabumin ( Master) , lowering his/ her highest point giving the person receiving the bow the respect and position of a higher level.
In the end, cultures have different methods of showing respect. At San Antonio Expert Taekwondo, respect is something that is taught to each student because they know it will instill good values that can be translated into the every day life of their student.

Master Kang believes that in order to lead, you must first learn to follow.
For this, San Antonio Expert Taekwondo takes time to not only teach through words, but also through action.
Students learn to visualize their goals in martial arts and then transfer that into life.

Similar to a baseball pitchers wind up, the students at SAN ANTONIO TAEKWONDO have one too.
This wind up consists of aim, balance, strength, power and focus.
It's not always about breaking boards are SAN ANTONIO EXPERT TAEKWONDO.
A game of dodge ball is fun but yet still teaches hand eye coordination, provides great exercise and did we mention it's just FUN!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE.....
Next week, maybe we can teach how to "wax on, wax off" Masters car LOL
This student uses what he has learned along with his "SPIDERMAN SENSE" to take him to the next level!
