Governor Northam has pronounced this week, October 4-10, Paralegals' Week. We're grateful for all of our wonderful paralegals and all the hard work they do!
Sands Anderson is proud to support our community through our ongoing literacy initiative, and we were even prouder to recently present R.E.A.L., the Reading Enrichment Academy of Learners, with this fully stocked book cart. A local non-profit organization, R.E.A.L. provides literacy assistance to students in the Richmond area in grades K-8 and helps them build a solid educational foundation. We're inspired by R.E.A.L.'s mission and hope these books will make a small difference in its important work.

This morning, two of our staff were pleased to accept our recent award for being named "The Law Firm Best Place to Work in Montgomery County" by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
Yesterday, Sands Anderson sponsored the Lora M. Robins Speaker Series, Equity: From Concept to Action, through Leadership Metro Richmond, featuring New York Times journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones. Ms. Hannah-Jones' work focuses on racial segregation in housing and schools, and she is the lead writer of the 1619 Project.
