How do you pick a few sentences to describe and dedicate to someone who was larger than life, even until her last day…
She has influenced the lives of many, whether you called her Mrs. Gotwalt, Marion, Mom or Grammy ( aka Poopsie). She was a strong woman with unwavering determination and independence. Someone who showed that a disability is something that you overcame and used to make you stronger. She always knew who you were, even if she couldn’t see you. She was a pillar to the community and dedicated herself to many volunteer organizations. She was, always and forever, an educator.
Almost 70 years ago, she and my grandfather opened the doors to this practice in Akron. They established, together, the roots on which my father and I now stand and grow. There are really no words to describe how proud I am to be a part of a dream created so long ago and how proud I am of her and the woman that she was.
Rest In Peace, Grammy.
SNOW DAYS: We will be closing our office early on Wednesday @ 12:00 PM and will remain closed for the entire workday on Thursday due to the large, expected snowfall. I appreciate all the safety precautions taken from the phone call to grant entrance to my credit card being sanitized after paying. I was just in for a routine, bi-annual appointment. It's always great to catch up with Char before we get started. Dr. John is always a bundle of energy - glad that never changes. Tia & Jody out front always have a smile, a kind word and even a wise-crack to send you on to the rest of your day. It's a great family atmosphere created by John and Sara. Oh, and it's great to know my teeth are in good shape and I am set for another 6 months.
