“My name is Erica and for me the Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center was a Godsend. In our first year of marriage, my husband and I found out I was pregnant with my fourth child and his first. My husband wanted me to consider ending the pregnancy but I refused. A friend told me about the Center so I called and made an appointment. There we had a cost-free ultrasound of our baby—that ultrasound changed everything for both my husband and for me—it saved not only our unborn baby but our marriage too. I don’t honestly know where my husband and I would be today without the strong and encouraging support we received for our relationship through the medical and navigation support and the couples coaching, which was invaluable.”
*In Erica’s last month of pregnancy, both she and her husband lost their employment during the COVID-19 crisis. Because donors have supported the Center’s client resource navigation program, SMPC was able to assist this couple with securing a Season of Sharing gift that covered their rental payments and kept them in place as a family.
