COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING. 👁👄🤚🗣👂One of the most difficult tasks as a dentist is the communication aspect with all parties involved: the patient, the restorative dentist, the surgeon, and the dental technician. Exceptional outcomes are precisely planned. In this interesting case presentation, the patient came by direct referral from another dentist who was not happy with her past dental care. ✅In handling a patient with a negative history, we need to deconstruct all the issues at hand: disease, restorative needs, function, phonetics, aesthetics, and emotional reconnection to her smile. Her problems have been an uncomfortable dentition (decay & infection), gingival inflammation due to violation of biologic width, failing restorations, malocclusion, overclosure, gingival asymmetry, smile asymmetry, and canting. ✅In order to address all of these issues, we have to envision her end results would be. After interviewing the patient and documenting photos, video and digital scanning with Primescan Dentsply Sirona, we incorporated DSD concepts using DSDApp by Coachman and final design with exocad with our lab at Midwest Dental Arts, Inc. PMMA provisionals were printed with Carbon printing and delivered on prep day. ✅In order to address her periodontal and infection issues, we collaborated with Sarasota Periodontal Associates with Dr. Javier Gonzalez in performing crown lengthening and root reshaping for three purposes: 1. To level gingival architecture. 2. To allow biologic stability to residual teeth that could be maintained 3. To allow structural exposure of the tooth structure that has been damaged by previous aggressive treatment. Provisionals were subsequently relined and occlusion equilibrated post operatively. ✅Once complete healing has occurred, final restorations were fabricated using Ivoclar Vivadent North America ZirCAD Prime shade Vita Shade Master 1M1, 1M2 (B1, A1), in order to help mask dark posts and teeth in combination of several bridges and layered with GC America Inc. ceramic. ✅The patient was ecstatic about her results. Her final comment was “Thank you for saving my smile and my life.” ❤️🦷😁 #dentistry #dentist #dental #smile #teeth #dentista #odontologia #cosmeticdentistry #dentalphotography #dentalcare #tooth #veneers #oralhealth #dentistrylife #dentistryworld #dentalhygienist #dentalhygiene #dentalclinic #teethwhitening #dentalassistant #oralsurgery #periodontalsurgery #dentistlife #FACD2020 #smilemakeover #bestofprosth #cosmeticdentist #sarasotadentist #SRQdentist #digitaldentistry

Had an amazing time supporting our community! Spent the day performing free cleanings and extractions for those in need. Great way to start the holiday season! Thank you to all of those who volunteered with us!

Another successful lecture by our team at Sarasota Periodontal Associates. Dr. Gonzalez had the pleasure of speaking to the Charlotte County Dental Association on various topics on bone grafting.
