Hello again America ! If you need to find a safe and easy way to rent a school band instrument this year please see below...if you happen to belong to the Saratoga Springs School District make sure you choose "deliver to school " option. Our teachers will get your instrument ready for your student to practice with. Don't be shy..you can share this with the music lovers in your world.
Music never dies. It has no quarantine. It's in your head, in your heart, and at your fingertips.

We are working hard to fulfill all of the store's obligations during this difficult time and welcome all customers who message us wishing to know the details of their order or the status of their repair ticket. However, please keep in mind that we are still in the midst of a global pandemic and that the challenges and slowdowns that this causes are not the fault of retail staff who are risking their health to serve you.
If anyone is in need of guitar repairs please look to one of the two technicians below. Both have worked extensively with us in the past and are very talented with an eye for detail.

Saratoga Guitar updated their business hours.
We are currently closed for all retail sales while we begin the enormous task of cataloging the store's inventory and assessing the state of it's various accounts. (Matt always had his own preferred system for organizing these things.)
If you need to inquire about the status of a repair or consignment that you dropped off with us please message us on Facebook so that we can have your information in writing to check against our records and so that we can minimize the time our staff needs to spend fielding phone calls.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your school instrument rental please contact Music & Arts directly. They also have a physical store in Latham if needed.
If you are in need of repairs or lessons you can also message us on Facebook and we can refer you to one of several excellent teachers and luthiers in the area.
Thank you.
Matt's friend and frequent gigging partner Rick Bolton is putting together a wonderful tribute to his life. The celebration will be on February 20th and will be hosted online with Caffe Lena. Anyone who wants to be a part of the celebration can refer to Rick's instructions below.
CELEBRATION OF MATT’S LIFE… On Tuesday, January 12th, 2021, Saratoga Springs lost a great soul. If you’ve been on Facebook the past few days, you’ve seen the posts of people describing his nature so eloquently – they are all spot on. Personally, I lost one of my closest friends. One I played many a gig with, played many a round of golf with, cheered the Yankees and booed the Yankees with, bitched about politics with, bragged on over kids with and chatted about everything relevant and not so relevant with – I’ll miss him terribly.
SO HERE’S THE PLAN… On Saturday, February 20th, we will remember Matt’s life through song, stories and photos through the Caffè Lena Youtube channel. Sarah Craig has been nothing but spectacular bringing this to being. We ask those who want to contribute to send photos and good quality (1280x720) videos to Reese Fulmer at reese@caffelena.org. Ideally an MP4 file is best but Reese can work with what is sent. If this isn’t possible, I’ll be setting up a schedule, and with the expertise of my good buddy, Joel Moss, he can pre-record you on Lena’s stage to be included in the streaming. As you can imagine the outpouring has been crazy so 3-4 minutes would be so appreciated. I know, THIS IS MATT and “I can’t do it in 3-4 minutes” but we want to include everyone. There has already been talk of doing this again when we can do it the old fashioned way, live and in person. Please PM me to get scheduled or with any questions, thoughts or concerns. Peace and love to all, Rick
