Breaking News! TikTok is here to stay. At 2am this morning they announced their technology partnership with Oracle and Walmart.
Translation - The US was set to ban TikTok in November for a lack of security measures. The US was afraid our data was being mined for Chinese Terroists....apposed for our own government. 😖
Let’s not forget that last year they took Facebook to federal court for not giving more data to the government.
The technology partners job will be to certify the oversee guidelines for data collection and assure our government that the data is not being used for nefarious reasons.
But let’s not be neive, all apps collect data. Your phone is actively listening to you for Google advertising. Your email is collecting data. Microsoft computers are a giant data collection on your life ad habits.
I appreciate the American government for forcing TikTok to comply with security measures, but they are just as guilty for the same issues. Who is protecting us from our own government?
