About

School of Rock Arlington Heights provides both in-person and online music lessons for students of all ages. Our programs, camps and workshops for toddlers, kids, teens and adults make learning to play music fun and create great communities of musicians. School of Rock is the leader in performance-based music education. We combine one-on-one drum, bass, keyboard, vocal, and guitar lessons with group practices. Students learn to play music from day one and put on live performances at local venues. Our experienced instructors are local musicians themselves who combine the performance-based School of Rock Method and programs with individual music lessons to get results for your student.

A little fun for our REO vs Cheap Trick show REO Speedwagon posted an episode of Songs & Stories from Camp Cronin. April 21 at 11:00 AM · Hi friends, my love and respect to all the front-line, and essential workers, and my prayers to those struggling medically and financially due to Covid-19. As I am home, and putting the finishing touches on my book, it occurred to me that I have been working on its soundtrack since I wrote my first song. With that in mind, Tuesday 4/21/20 at 9:00 AM we will be beaming out the first episode of "Songs & Stories From Camp Cronin." It’s just me and my acoustic guitar, in our little guest house, singing into my iPad, and telling the REO story through the songs we have recorded and been inspired by. I miss Bruce, Neal, Dave, and Bryan, but this is the best I can do for now. I will keep new episodes coming over the coming weeks...kc #SongsAndStoriesFromCampCronin #REOSpeedwagon #Lockdown2020

When "You Can Tune a Piano but You Can't Tuna Fish" was released, it was a perfect follow up to their live release. Both these songs featured heavily throughout their live shows to this day! "GIVE THE GIFT OF A LIFELONG HOBBY: Do you remember the first time you participated in what became your lifelong hobby? And the thrill of getting better at it the more you did it? If your child hasn't yet discovered their lifelong hobby, bring them in to School of Rock. Let's see if music is their jam. "
Ellie was really 'not feeling' the key lessons she was getting from her instructor. She was nice and all, but she really wasn't interested in the music she was being taught. One day she was walking by her dad's man cave and he was listening to "Deep Purple - Made In Japan' and she was hooked...crazy keyboards in a rock band! She couldn't wait to go to a place where she could learn such great material...next day Dad brought her to School of Rock.
Alicia really likes playing piano but sometimes can take longer than some other people to learn new songs. During her show rehearsals she put in her best effort in playing the songs and her bandmates were always willing to take their time with the songs because they knew on show day Alicia always came through. Patience is absolutely crucial in all aspects of being a serious musician, especially when playing in a group. #musiceducation #music #musiclessons #musicteacher #musicschool #musiced #elementarymusic #musicclass #musicclasses #musicteachers #musiclessonsforkids #kidmusicclass #childrenmusicclass #momsofinstagram #momslife #schoolofrock #schoolofrockusa #parenting #parentingtips #parentinghacks #parenting101 #parentinglife #parentinggoals #guitar #piano #singing
Lila really loves learning music theory and found that by learning about things like time signatures and beats per minute, it really helped her in her math classes. She found out that Einstein sat and played music when he was trying to work out a math problem, so if it was good enough for him, it was good enough for her! #musiclass #schoolofrock #learntoplay
YES!!! We are Open today for onsite lessons and rehearsals!! Please email if you would like to change your lesson to Remote today! arlingtonheights@schoolofrock.com
Bennie really liked playing the bass drum in marching band, but since the COVID pandemic curtailed his marching band activities a lot, he wanted to find something he would like playing when he had some alone time, which seem to be more and more lately. Since he was big fan of Motown & rhythm and blues, he decided to take up the bass. It was great for him to be able to play along with the songs he liked listening to, and it gave him a chance to just be alone with his music. #learntoplaybass #learnbase#schoolofrock
