And believe it or not, on this day in 1981, they released this one. Yes, I was a fan...
Released on this day, in 1979...front to back it was pretty tight. I encourage you to listen to it the way I did (all of side 1, then all of side 2) and reply with your favorite cut.
If you missed our Livestream from The Cat's Cradle yesterday, you can catch the replay here. This was a mid-season show - just a sample of what we're currently working on. For several of our students, it was their first show ever! Lots of FUN for a good cause! π€β€οΈπ€

Today, we should all be thankful that we live in a community that supports musicians, music venues and live music! Saturday evening we all have a chance to stroll Franklin Street, and hear two of our amazing team members (Justin Ellis and Avery Linderman) do their thing LIVE! It should be a beautiful night! Part of our mission at School of Rock Chapel Hill is to help bring music education to young people in the wider community beyond our walls. We recently received a happy email from the Executive Director of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation. It's an honor to serve. π€β€π€
"I wanted to follow up with a quick email letting you know how your funds were applied this year.
In normal times, children who cannot afford to rent or purchase an instrument are allowed to share stringed instruments owned by the schools. With remote learning in place, we needed more instruments to make sure everyone who wanted to participate in orchestra could have an instrument at home. We negotiated discounts and found a partial matching grant, but PSF still had to provide almost $7,000 towards the purchase.
Your donation was applied to the Achievers Grant we funded for the purchase of 11 new string instruments for children with financial need (photo attached). Thank you for helping bring music to 11 deserving middle school students!"
