🎵🎶Music Lessons Done Differently 🎶🎵
The traditional approach to music education is to learn the parts and then put them together. Then there are guitar teachers who teach kids how to play songs, but they don't teach the students how and why the songs work. At School of Rock, we provide the instant gratification of learning the song first AND we teach them the theory behind the songs so that they can apply that knowledge to other songs. On top of that, we offer a combination of private lessons and band rehearsal to keep kids engaged in learning and having fun while doing so. 🤘🎸

Phil always worked really hard learning to play bass guitar, and practiced every chance he got. Before joining School of Rock, he never really got any feedback from his peers (his parents always said he was doing great). While working in his Performance Group band, he slowly saw the really positive reactions he was getting from his fellow musicians. Getting great feedback from his friends made him feel more confident and greatly improved his feelings about himself.

The Stage is the Greatest Teacher!!
"Living on a lighted stage approaches the unreal' sings Geddy Lee from Rush. Geddy has a very distinctive singing voice (which some consider maybe not so great), but he has woven that voice into the fabric of the band. Carli and her parents were super excited about getting her signed up for the Beatles show. Growing up, Carli listened to their music on the car stereo when her family went on car trips. After spending a few months working on the show material, Carli and her bandmates got the chance to put on a performance of some of the best of John, Paul, George and Ringo. Of course Carli's parents were in the front row with their camera, sharing this great memory together.

Alicia really likes playing piano but sometimes can take longer than some other people to learn new songs. During her show rehearsals she put in her best effort in playing the songs and her band mates were always willing to take their time with the songs because they knew on show day Alicia always came through. Patience is absolutely crucial in all aspects of being a serious musician, especially when playing in a group.
