Temple Of The Dog‘s #HungerStrike was released today in 1991. Written by #ChrisCornell, and featuring the then unknown lead singer of Mookie Blaylock, the song was produced at London Bridge Studios by Rick Parashar, the producer of Pearl Jam’s Ten. Hunger Strike was the first and most successful single from the album. It peaked at number four on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. Said Eddie Vedder in 2011: “That was the first time I heard myself on a real record. It could be one of my favorite songs that I’ve ever been on — or the most meaningful.”
