As part of Dylan's Peter Gabriel master class students will dig deep into important works of Gabriel and learn more about his theatrical performances and emotional songwriting from the late 1970s and early 1980s after his exit from Genesis. February is Black History Month! Black history is US history, and we are all indebted to the countless black musicians, recognized and unrecognized, who shaped music and Rock & Roll history. Rock music's roots can be found in many genres, but particularly in blues, jazz, and gospel music. These styles originated in predominantly Black communities, whose artists paved the way for modern music as we know it. School of Rock is proud to recognize, celebrate and teach the music of some of the most influential Black musicians in contemporary music across many different genres.
