The School of Rock San Ramon House Band takes on The Beatles! "From Me To You" is the perfect Beatles song for when you're in quarantine and missing someone...like the other members of your band! Due to COVID-19, this cover song and music video was created entirely from the individual homes of the House Band students; each one recorded their own parts of the song and video, and our in-house audio and video crew put together this killer music video! We're so stoked on this video and the incredible talent that went into putting it together!

This season, our Adult Band rehearsal group takes a departure from the band in a show we call GOING SOLO (every Tuesday 8:15-9:45pm IN-PERSON). We all know how great it is to be in a band, but there are some individuals whose vision is so clear and whose will is so determined that they end up striking out on their own and Going Solo. There are so many excellent musicians who fall into this category including, Jerry Garcia, Stevie Nicks, Peter Gabriel, Ozzy Osborne, Beyonce, Maceo Parker, Justin Timberlake, and Gwen Stefani to name a few. These artists not only made vital contributions to the bands they were in, but it’s hard to imagine a world without the music they made in their solo careers. This is going to be a fun show with a variety of genres and time periods represented. We want to take a moment to honor the graduating members of our House Band. The passion, commitment, and dedication that they've exhibited over the years has been truly inspiring. It's been amazing to witness their growth and how much they have contributed to House Band and our school. We are going to miss them tremendously but they will always be part of our School of Rock Family!
Mat joined House Band in March of 2017 as a guitarist and a vocalist. He was an integral member of the band on their California Dreamin' tour to LA and the Cascadia tour to the Pacific Northwest. His experience in House Band helped prepare him for his 2019 summer tour as a School of Rock AllStar when he got to play at Lollapalooza. Mat's favorite part of House Band was the days on tour when the band got to hang out during down time because it felt like family. He also always loved the excitement of the first rehearsal of the season when new members had been added to the group. Mat is continuing to study music locally and already has several music projects independent of School of Rock including Lady Esther and Fistfight with Traffic. We expect to continue to hear great things from him in the future.
Amrutha joined House Band in May of 2019 as a vocalist. Her passionate and powerful vocals were a huge asset to the group. She participated in the House Band Cascadia tour to the Pacific Northwest. This was her favorite part of House Band because she got to experience what it’s like to travel and play music everyday for a week with people who became close friends by the end. Her favorite song to sing was Crazy On You because it was one of her first assignments and a big challenge that increased her skill and confidence. Amrutha is going to college in LA and will be studying Music Business and working towards releasing her own music. Her drive and dedication stand out and we know with her strong work ethic and incredible talent she will go far.

The School of Rock San Ramon House Band truly knocked it out of the park with this cover of not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR different Queen songs, all mashed up together into one incredible medley. Starting with the famous beginning of "Bohemian Rhapsody", they then carry it through to "Another One Bites The Dust", get real gritty with "We Will Rock You", conquer "We Are The Champions", and finish out strong with shreeeedddddding guitar at the end.
