The man rampaging on the tenor sax is Big Jay McNeely. That sax now lives at the Experience Music Project in Seattle, and the memory of Big Jay is enshrined in the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame. The three guys in the front row... are us. Here in LA, our venue situation is normally pretty sweet. We get to play rooms that are legit known around the world. Right now, those venues are in serious trouble. They were the first to close, and will most likely be the last to open.
School of Rock has partnered with Independent Venue Week and the National Independent Venue Association to raise emergency relief funds for these places that are so vital to our existence.
Once we can play again, we're gonna need a place to do it. If you can, please get involved.
