Italians eat a lot of pasta, often at least once a day. Although pasta is served in most Italian restaurants, there are eateries in Italy that specialize in pasta based dishes. Care to guess what they're called? If you guessed pasta restaurants are called "spaghetterias," you're right.
Tues. 10/6 Special Sausage, Peppers & Onions over Rice $8.99
Did you know that the best time to eat mozzarella cheese is immediately after it is made? In fact, this is when it is freshest. International cheese experts recommend eating mozzarella when it is fresh, meaning the next day if possible and certainly within a week.
Tony Anderson is at Scittino's Italian Market Place. October 12 at 10:15 PM · Catonsville, MD · Monday special 7.99
Garlic bread is a staple item in many Italian restaurants in the United States. But did you know that it is not common in Italy? There, people prefer their bread plain and not drenched in garlic and butter.

When you walk through the doors of our restaurant and you are greeted by the exciting aroma of the different herbs, spices, and other ingredients that go into our meals, you will be sorry you did not come here sooner.
Meat case is packed and ready to go for your Thanksgiving shopping! For our shoppers or community members that are not familiar with the family history, mine and Lenny's grandfather, Frank, owned the town butcher shop in Lascari, Sicily, before packing up everything he owned and heading to the US in the 1950's with his wife and children (Lenny, Sal, Josie). A short time later, he rented space for a small grocery store in this building. We've been building on his legacy ever since. To this day, we are true to our roots as a butcher shop. We participate in a select purchasing program that gives us access to the best beef, from the best ranches and small farms through out the U.S., and even the world, when it comes to our Japanese Wagu beef. Our beef must meet the highest quality standards before it ever leaves the farm for our shelves and has a minimum High-Choice/Prime designation. Many people don't realize that some of the highest quality beef in in Maryland is sold out of this little corner of Catonsville.
Dining with us is a leisurely affair in the traditions of the Old World. Take the time to enjoy the meal and your friends, reveling in the camaraderie and fellowship. And, have a dessert and follow that with a caffe.

Nearly every culture in the world has left its mark on the American culinary landscape, and the Italians are no exception. Between 1870 and 1920, Italian immigrants brought their cooking over to the states, leading to the birth of Italian-American cuisine.
Hello Everyone! Lenny and I want to thank everyone for the patience and support last night. I know we had some long lines and extended wait times due to being short staffed on an exceptionally busy night. We are working hard to add quality staff and are keenly focused on providing the best possible customer service. In the next couple weeks we will be implementing a new order management/order taking system that will allow us to take orders and payment from folks while they wait in line, as well as bring orders directly to customers as soon as they're ready. No more waiting in long lines for your turn at the counter on a busy Friday night. Thank you again for your business. We are trying to get better every day! Franco
While your experience with Italian food in the U.S. may involve lots of cheese, sauce, and hefty portions of pasta piled onto your plate, traditional Italian food is generally composed of much lighter fare.
Superbowl Sunday Specials!!
Non-Italians often identify Italian cooking with a few dishes like pizza and spaghetti. However, did you know that, in Italy, every community has a different way of cooking its regional specialty? There are hundreds of different pastas and hundreds of different ways of cooking Italian food.
Did you know that all pasta isn't made from wheat products, or semolina? True Gnocchi, commonly considered a pasta, is in fact traditionally made from a mashed potato base.
We will remain closed for today, we apologize Catonsville, but will see you tomorrow. Thank you
