While there is no exact age when a child should get braces, the American Academy of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends children visit an orthodontist for the first time no later than age 7. At this point, an orthodontist can evaluate a child’s airway, bite and oral habits. The orthodontist can then determine if braces or other orthodontic treatments are necessary. Give us a call for your consultation.

Wearing braces will straighten your teeth, fix any misalignment, and provide you with a beautiful smile. However, it also makes your teeth more difficult to clean, and you need to take extra care in order to avoid any unnecessary dental issues. Tooth decay is more likely to happen when you wear braces, as the metal brackets need to be adequately maintained and cleansed from all bacteria and food particles. Remember to stay on top of your oral hygiene regime.
Don't forget to put your aligners back in after eating!

Does your child need braces? Sometimes tooth and jaw problems can be caused by losing baby teeth too soon or habits like thumb sucking. But often they're inherited, so if you or someone in your family needed braces, it's likely that your kids will, too. Kids can come in for a consultation starting at the age of 7.

Self-esteem and confidence that come from looking one’s best are two important reasons to consider braces, but the benefits of braces go well beyond pure aesthetics. Braces ensure correct bite and tooth alignment which has many positive side-effects; including:
👍Improved ability to chew food
👍Alleviation of speech impairment
👍Easier to brush, clean and floss teeth
👍Reduced cavities and periodontal disease
👍Reduced grinding and chipping of teeth
👍Reduced risk of injury from protruding teeth
Braces can establish the foundation for a lifetime of improved oral health while helping you and your children look their best.

More adults are seeking orthodontic treatment than they use to. Teeth can be straightened at any age. There is no age limit on having a healthy, confident smile. The fact of the matter is that the forces from braces or Invisalign guide the teeth into place in the same way, whether you’re 16 or 60. If you have questions about treatment give us a call at 559-732-4146 📱
Throughout your life, your teeth move. If you’ve had braces already, you’re familiar with the fact that the location of your teeth in your mouth is subject to change according to factors such as your age and wearing orthodontic appliances.
Just because your orthodontic treatment is finished doesn’t mean that your teeth are going to stay in place.
If you don’t wear your retainer according to your instructions, your teeth will tend to shift back into their old placement. If you are in need of a replacement retainer give us a call.
