Dr. Scott J. Ellis is an orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery. He runs a busy clinical practice, but also teaches and does research. He is currently appointed as an Associate Professor of orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Ellis has vast experience with a variety of foot and ankle problems and injuries. He specializes in all types of Achilles disorders including acute tears and more chronic degeneration (or tendinosis). He also treats a vast array of patients with ankle fractures and has performed hundreds of total ankle replacements for severe ankle arthritis. He surgically corrects bunions, both in women and men, as well as flatfoot deformity and has written numerous papers on the topic.
