Seams to Soires owner Andrea McGinn started sewing at an early age: hand stitching doll clothes in grade school, creating pajamas from pattern in middle school, and making curtains and pillows for her dorm room in college. In 2002 her love for sewing blossomed as she learned how to alter wedding and formal wear in an upscale bridal boutique in Lubbock, Texas (Go Red Raiders!)
After transferring to the University of North Texas and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Andrea expanded her skill set in event coordinating and marketing, while continuing to alter wedding gowns and other garments alongside her full-time jobs.
Now with over 15 years of sewing, crafting, and event planning experience, Andrea finally opened Seams to Soires to the public in January 2017 and is proudly serving the Denver metroplex and surrounding communities.
Seams to Soires prides itself on quality craftsmanship at affordable prices. Based in the owner's Thornton home just 20 minutes north of Denver, our creative studio and private fitting room is just just seven steps down into a quaintly decorated garden level "basement" (or "Lady-Lair" as Andrea likes to call it). If you have mobility restrictions, please let us know and we can coordinate a garment fitting in your home. (Home decor or other creative design consultations can be conducted in your home or a mutual meeting place as well.)
Andrea thoroughly enjoys helping people bring their creative ideas to life, tailoring garments to flatter figures and styles, and bringing smiles to faces. Whether it be hemming blue jeans, installing custom window treatments, creating wedding invitations, or making your special & unique dream come alive, let Seams to Soires help you with all your creative needs!
