FOR YOUR HEALTH
Next time you come by Searcy Physical Therapy, you’ll notice we’re finishing out the final space of our office!
We are expanding our waiting room to allow for better social distancing as more and more patients return to PT.
If you've been struggling with chronic pain this year, give us a call at (501) 268-2513.
RECOVER FASTER AT SPT
While they are important in recovery, we understand that PT appointments can be an inconvenience.
We strive to make recovery happen as quickly and efficiently as possible with the latest techniques and tools available.
Like the Alter-G Treadmill, which allows patients to run or walk with reduced impact on the body.
Or BFR Therapy, which helps patients build muscle faster and with less pain.
And the Graston Technique, a manual therapy that helps in the recovery of chronic, acute, and post-surgical soft-tissue conditions.
If you’re recovering from an injury, surgery, or just living with chronic pain, give us a call at (501) 268-2513 to learn more about all of these techniques.
OPTIMISM IN HEALING
One of the most powerful tools in the recovery process is a positive attitude. It can help patients recovering from injury and surgery heal faster just with a positive thought.
There are dozens of studies over the years that have linked positive thinking and healing. That includes a better ability to deal with stress and trauma, higher resiliency, stronger immune systems, reduced pain, and a longer lifespan.
Sometimes, being optimistic is easier said than done. If you ever need a pep talk or a little optimism during the healing process, our therapists are always happy to offer a word of encouragement to their patients. Give us a call at (501) 268-2513.
WHAT’S IT FOR: GRASTON TECHNIQUE
These shiny, stainless-steel instruments may not look like much, but they’re some of our best tools when it comes to caring for patients.
These are the tools used in the Graston Technique; a form of manual therapy that massages the skin and muscles to relieve pain and benefit function.
The great thing about the Graston Technique is that it allows both the therapist and the patient to feel the same things, helping to facilitate more accurate feedback and communication between the two.
Each of the six unique tools provides a different treatment, but together combine to help with a long list of conditions including neck, knee, ankle, wrist, and shoulder pain. Graston Technique is commonly used to treat tendonitis, sprains, strains, and chronic pain, and is great on old scar tissue and back pain from childbirth.
Learn if the Graston Technique is right for you. Give us a call at (501) 268-2513 to schedule a consultation.
A PASSION FOR REHABILITATION
Whether it’s recovering from addiction, physical injury, emotional injury, or physiological injury, sometimes we all need a little help in life.
In honor of #NationalRehabilitationWeek, we want to give a shout out to everyone who has made it their life goal to help people recover from pain.
From everyone at Searcy PT, Des Arc PT, and Therapy First, thank you for all you do!
PROUDLY SERVING DES ARC
We believe that life should not be a pain, which is why we opened our clinic in Des Arc back in 2009.
Before we opened, we noticed that there was a significant number of people driving from Des Arc to Searcy for PT appointments. We decided that the best way to meet the needs of our patients was to open a clinic closer to home.
Our Des Arc clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week. Jordan and Paul handle our patients’ PT while Jo takes care of all of their administrative needs.
For the past 12 years, the Des Arc has been so welcoming to us and we’re really grateful to be able to be a part of their community.
If you’d like to know more about our Des Arc clinic, give us a call at (870) 256-1555.
DON’T SKIP IT
They call breakfast “the most important meal of the day” for a reason.
Eating breakfast helps to improve daily calcium and fiber intake, lowers BMI, and boosts brainpower. It can also reduce the risk of some illnesses and help control weight.
This morning, don’t just grab an apple and head out the door. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and start your day the right way!
NOT A PAIN

ENJOY THE EXTRA HOUR
It’s time to Spring Foward!
On Sunday, March 14th we roll our clocks forward an hour. While we will lose an hour for one day, we get an extra hour of sunlight for the next six months!
Why not use that extra hour of sunlight for something healthy? Start taking the family for a walk, train for a 5k, play the back nine, or shoot some hoops with friends.
Whatever you do, enjoy it!
