Sebastian Fernandez-Bussy, M.D., is an interventional pulmonologist in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Jacksonville, Florida. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat lung cancer, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. His clinical focus includes advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, lung cancer staging and diagnosis, endobronchial ultrasound and navigation bronchoscopy, endobronchial valve placement for endoscopic lung volume reduction, therapy for benign airway stenosis, tracheobronchomalacia multidisciplinary treatment, pleural procedures, and medical thorascopy.
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Fernandez-Bussy participates in several research projects including a phase 1 trial on a new device for bronchoscopic treatment for chronic bronchitis.
