⭐️⭐️ Big Announcement!!! Meet our new Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Sara Talbot! ⭐️⭐️ Dr. Banker, Dr. Brooke, Dr. Poore and all of the staff are beyond thrilled to welcome Dr. Talbot to the SAHDC Family! She wanted to share in her own words a little bit more about herself and she looks forward to meeting your furry families soon. ❤️ Hi, I’m Dr. Talbot! I consider myself a Greensboro native, having moved here with my family when I was just 3 years old. Not straying far for college, I earned my bachelor’s degree at UNC- Chapel Hill and my doctorate of veterinary medicine at NC State University in 2010. Following veterinary school, I completed an internship locally at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro focusing on internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine. My husband, who is also a (large animal) veterinarian, and I met shortly after I graduated from college, and we have now established our family roots here in the Greensboro area as well. We welcomed our first child, Calvin, in 2012 and his little sister, Katelyn, in 2015. With dogs, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, quail, turkeys and other animals around our house at any given time, our kids are most certainly becoming animal lovers too! Allergies have sadly kept my feline friends out of the house, but I can at least still happily get my kitty snuggles in at work. I am excited to join the Sedgefield team and look forward to meeting you and your pets!

She’s “New To The Crew”... introducing “Carter Finley!” She belongs to our assistant, Connor, and well since he’s having to do all of his NCSU school work online what better way to study then to get a new puppy! 😍
MooCat is ready for dinner! Do your pet(s) also think they’re human and sit at the dining table? MooCat is constantly trying to sneak in a snack or two while staff members eat lunch. 😻😆
**Found Dog** Found today (8/13/20) off Penny Road in High Point. No tags, no microchip. Please share! Email us at petcare@sedgefieldvet.com or message us here on Facebook if you know her owners!

@catsmaxruby came to see us today! They came prepared for their curbside visits in their pawsome backpack carriers! We love these two cats and are so happy they had great checkups. It’s so nice seeing them all grown up from when they were tiny foster kittens last year with @reddogfarmrescue & @crookedtailcatcafe 😻😻
Tsunami wishes everyone a Happy Halloween!! 🎃😻

Dear SAHDC Clients and Family, A lot has been going on at SAHDC and now with the The Banker’s blessing we are ready to share some news with you all. As some of you know Dr. Banker has been having lower back and mobility issues for a while now that progressed rather rapidly over the past few months. The beginning of this year Dr. B had to take an unexpected medical leave pending what we initially thought would be lower back surgery. A little over 2 weeks ago things changed when his medical team performed a thoracic (neck) MRI. It was discovered at that time that Dr. Banker had a rather large tumor on his spinal cord. The doctors were shocked that he was able to walk at all! Thankfully Dr. B had a wonderful medical team that got him in that very same day to see a wonderful surgeon, Dr. John Wilson, at Wake Forest Baptist Health. At the time there were many unknowns, everything progressed very rapidly these last 2 weeks and Dr. B had his surgery yesterday with still many unknown possibilities of outcomes. Friday was a very long, emotional day for all of us and The entire Banker Family. However, yesterday afternoon we got the BEST news ever! The surgery was a success, with no complications. They were able to remove the tumor fully and it is thought to be benign!!! 🎉❤️ Today, just 24 hours post op Dr. Banker was able to WALK!! We are all crying and overwhelmed with joy and amazed by the strength Dr. B has shown. He’s one tough cookie for sure, and is an inspiration for us all. Please keep Dr. B and Mary in your thoughts as he continues to recover and rest. But today is all about celebrating, love and gratitude!! 🙏Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your love and concern and being part of our large extended family. ❤️❤️
COVID has brought great attention to FIP, a coronavirus that has an extremely high fatality rate in cats. This article gives a wonderful overview of the illness, the promising new treatment options, why its not licensed in the United States and the challenges of using it. Hopefully COVID research will lead to more readily available treatment options for our feline friends in the future! ANIMALBIOME.COM FIP Has a Cure! Here’s Why It’s Hard to Get

These two sweethearts were found, reunited and are now safe and back at home (all in under 30 minutes), thanks to the Pyrenees’ microchip! PLEASE microchip your pets and make sure if your pet is already microchipped that your contact information is up to date and registered. We are very thankful that Bear and Bibi had lots of Good Samaritans watching out for them today. ❤️❤️
