In honor of Fire Prevention Week, here are 3 tips to help prevent fire:
1. Avoid unattended or careless use of candles.
2. Do not disable smoke or CO detectors. These are life saving devices that will give you an early warning to a life threatening event.
3. Do not leave your cooking unattended. Cooking is the number one cause of residential fires. Unattended cooking increases the chance of a stove top fire. Watch what you heat and never overheat cooking oils.
With our drying chamber and document restoration processes, priceless family photos and valuable documents can be salvaged if damaged during a water loss.
Avoid disaster. New rugs are often treated with a chemical wash to brighten colors. If a chemical wash was too strong, it could loosen the dye and wash out. Pre-test a small area to avoid a big problem.
Wooden cutting boards, trash cans, behind the stove (where food crumbs fall) and windows and window sills in the kitchen are like heaven for mold spores. They feed off of these places, so keeping them clean and dry is critical for keeping mold at bay.
Inspect windows and roofs after heavy storms for moisture. The excess moisture will cause mold to grow if left uncleaned.
Flooding and water emergencies don’t wait for regular business hours and neither do we. #fastertoanysizedisaster
