We would like to advise everyone in Randall that the Fire Dept will be out this Saturday in our Firetrucks throwing out candy :) Would like to say handing out candy but with current health advisories we will be tossing the candy into the yard next to the children. Please advise the little ones to not run at the trucks or fireman. We will be following all local rules and keeping 6 feet from everyone and everyone will be wearing face masks and gloves. Just have them stand in the front yard and the guys will toss the candy into the yard and the kids can then pick it up. We will start at 4pm in the Knolls and Deerpath neighborhoods. We will go until the candy is gone.
😋😋😋 guys! You can get food delivered to the office! AND MORE COFFEE. (Or matcha 😉)

Community Safety Reminder:
With the upcoming snowfall, it’s a good time to remind people the importance of clearing the ice and snow off your home’s high efficiency intakes and exhausts. Carbon Monoxide (CO) can back up into your home. CO has no odor and therefore considered a silent killer. Be safe and buy a CO detector for under $40. It might save your family’s life! Please also clear your gas meters.
Stay warm and safe!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder . . .
Icicles are beautiful at first sight but beware of their power. They can tear off gutters, loosen shingles, and cause water to back up in your house. The after effects of this happening include warped floors, sagging ceilings, soggy insulation in your attic, and a magnet for mold and mildew.
Tips to prevent and fix an ice dam:
1) Use heated cables along the roof’s edge
2) Blow in cold air to the underside of your roof
3) Rake off the snow with a long-handled aluminum roof rake
4) Ventilate eaves and ridges
5) Cap the hatch
6) Exhaust to the outside
7) Add insulation
8) Install sealed can lights
9) Flash around chimneys
10) Seal and insulate ducts
11) Caulk penetrations
12) Read the attached article for details
13) And lucky #13, call SERVPRO of South Kenosha County for additional tips.
