We immediately took care of the mushroom that was growing from the ceiling by following the IICRC standard protocol for mold mitigation.
1️⃣ we marked the affected walls with tape to see where the extent of the moisture has traveled.
2️⃣ we set up containment this helps contain all mold particles from cross-contaminating to non-affected rooms.
3️⃣ we start demolition, this is to remove mold from the ceiling and walls. Once it is open we do a mold wipe down, mold remediation.
4️⃣ we dry the affected areas until it meets drying goals.
