Mounting panels on a board instead of a rod can be a great alternative when you have tricky windows. Due to this arched window, it was imperative not to encroach on the area above the rectangular portion.

These window treatments added light control while keeping the palette soft and peaceful to enjoy the great outdoor views.
Here is a before and after of sidelight windows. There are options other than sheers. Shutters are functional and beautiful! The split tilt option shown here gives a uniform look but allows you to close the bottom portion for privacy while allowing you to view out the top.
Treatments for patio doors don’t always need to operate from side to side. Roller shades that can be lowered from the top down are a great option too. And they provide maximum view and light when raised.
