Nominated Top Doc in the prestigious HOUR magazine, and a graduate of Aleppo University School of Medicine who had his postgraduate medical training first at the University of Glasgow School of Medicine, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Cardiology, and later on he joined the Carney Hospital of Boston University School of Medicine to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and earn his Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
Following the above, he completed his fellowship training in cardiology at Wayne State University, and got his Board Certification in Cardiovascular Diseases. Later on, Dr. Shahbandar got his Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology, and is a certified as a cardiac device specialist by the Heart Rhythm Society.
He lived in Rochester, Michigan since 1997 and practiced invasive and non-invasive cardiology. His offices provide all advanced technologies in cardiac testing from ultrasound to nuclear imaging, Holter monitoring, and stress testing.
He is a staff member at Beaumont Hospital and Ascension Hospital in Rochester and Macomb, as well as Wayne State University. He was the Chief of Cardiology for many years at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital.
